So I’m going to start to do research in a different lab next week with my professor who taught my quantum mechanics class. I really liked quantum mechanics so I figured I’d try the research out to see if I’d like to do that in grad school. The interesting aspect of that is that I have to learn how to program in C and C plus plus as the research entails simulation of the molecular dynamics of condensed matter. It’s weird, I never thought I would ever do any programming but it seems rather interesting to learn something else for a change. So Dad, you got any good advice on books or resources where I can learn to program in C and C plus plus? I started looking at this website online that gives a tutorial of how to do it but I was wondering if you had any suggestions.
