I’ve written and rewritten this page and each time I look at the result I think “Wow… that really sucks”. I find writing about myself a bit “weird”. Who wants to read this dribble anyway. But since you came all this way…
My name is Greg Bellucci – no relation to John Belushi (note the difference in the spelling of the last name). I might be related to Monica Bellucci (note the same last name). Its nice to think of yourself as connected to someone in some way whose name can generate at least 1,000 Google Pages. I’ve tried to “Google” the names of people I know I’m related to but most of the time Google returns with “Did you mean: Monica Bellucci“…. so I’ve decided to just go with it. People ask me “Are you related to Monica Bellucci?”… I often wonder if people ask Monica, “Are you related to Greg?”… I think it’s possible that she doesn’t know.

Rochester, New York
I was born in snowy, rainy, and overcast Rochester, New York; the first Son of Arnold and Greta Bellucci. I have two brothers and a sister. I grew up in the snowy, rainy and overcast 50’s and 60’s. I remember when The Beatles came to America for the first time – it was a few days after my 12th birthday. I thought it was very cool.
Long, long ago I lost touch with nearly everyone I grew up with. However, there are a few special people from my childhood that occasionally touch base with me. I have never been very good at keeping up with people and I have no idea where most of them are or what happened to them. I see all the familiar names on classmates.com but I’ve never contacted them. It seems as though every time there is a class reunion, I’m not able to attend.
My oldest daughter, her husband and most of my grand children [ gasp] still live in Rochester. My Father’s family originally came to the United States from The Cilento region of Italy; from a village near Pisciotta (Rodio Pi Sciotta) and settled in Hazelton, Pennsylvania – my great-grandfather (Bellucci) worked and died in the Lattimer Coal mines. My great-grandmother (de Bellis) remarried. She, her new husband (Sacco) and their children moved to Rochester. My Mother’s side of the family is originally from Corning New York – my Grandfather was Swedish (Bergh), my Grandmother was English/French.

Nick Tahoe Garbage Plate Special
My cousin Angelo Bellucci and his wife Anna own a very nice Italian Restaurant in Hazelton known as Angelo’s Italian House. If you are ever in the area, I urge you stop in and order one of their great Italian home cooked meals.
If you are unfamiliar with Rochester, here are a few tidbits: The city is famous for Eastman Kodak, Bausch & Lomb, the University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Nick Tahou’s Famous Hots (the Nick Tahoe Garbage Plate Special is proudly shown on the right).
Notable Rochestarians include Rod Serling (“The Twilight Zone”), Robert Forster (actor), Susan B. Anthony (suffragist), Arnold and Greta Bellucci (my parents), Cab Calloway (singer/band leader), Lou Gramm (lead singer of Foreigner), Chuck Mangione (flugelhornist), and of course, Robert Otto Marella (wrestler, a.k.a. Gorilla Monsoon) and many other household names.
After a career of developing and writing software for more than 30 years, I decided to work for myself designing and developing web sites and software used by everyday people. Most of the time I do contract work when/where I can find it… sometimes it finds me… but not usually.

The children in my life
Like everyone else, many things happened to me, with me, and around me during my years on planet Earth. Some of it was good, some of it I never got right the first time, and most of it I remember. The photo montage (above) contains my children, grandchildren and Julia’s children. I’m very proud of them all and they mean the world to me. [ I apologize to my son-in-law Bobby, I don't have a photo].

Julia
My beautiful wife Julia keeps me centered, healthy, and happy; born in London of English/Arab descent, she spent most of her adult life in Australia. She has a degree in Speech Pathology and spent a number of years working in her own practice.
and finally….
I’m in the 57th Act of my own personal play… Each new year is the beginning of a new act; each new day is the start of the next scene… there is never a script… and I ask that you please hold your applause until the end…
